Our city center hotel is located on a central but calm street at the district of Sultanahmet, which is the cultural and commercial heart of Istanbul; In face of the previous Courthouse of Istanbul.

The district Sultanahmet, where the Hotel Arcadia Blue is located, is the part having the most intensive historical texture of the “Historical Peninsula” where the city of Istanbul was founded.
The Historical Peninsula, surrounded by the sea on three sides, has attractive locations to visit, such as

• Sultanahmet Square also known as the Hippodrome; 
• the Blue (Sultanahmet) Mosque, built upon the order of the Ottoman Emperor, Sultan Ahmet I., in the 17th century and is an unique and peerless architectural structure with its 6 minarets; 
• Hagia Sophia, constructed upon request of the Byzantium Emperor as a church in 325 (A.C.), reconstructed in 537 and renovated into a mosque by Sultan Mehmet II., following the conquest of Istanbul and is used as a museum at current period; 
• the Topkapı Palace where the Ottoman Emperors used to live between the 15th and 19th century, 
• the Kaiser Wilhelm II Fountain (currently known as the German Fountain) which was a gift of the German Emperor to the Sultan,
• the Sunken Cistern (Yerebatan), Binbirdirek Cistern, Egyptian Obelisk, Örme Obelisk, Serpentine Column, Archeological Museum, Mosaic Museum, Museum for Turkish & Islamic Arts, Museum of Oriental Antiquities, Carpet and Rug Museum, Tile Pavilion, Gülhane Park and so on. 

The districts Eminönü and Sirkeci, with its historic railway station are also among locations worth to see. While leading towards the Topkapı Palace, one can see the old Ottoman houses in Soğukçeşme Street, hosting guests after being restorated.

Airport Transportation Details

• after heading out of the airport to the highway,
• follow the "sirkeci" traffic sign that will take you to sultanahmet district
• (around 60 min drive w/out traffic)
• then  enter from the "sultanahmet" sign and the road will take you to the former court house,
• arcadia blue is right in front of the former courthouse

• after heading out of the airport to d100 highway,
• follow the traffic signs to bosphorus bridge (39 kms/ around 45 min.)
• after crossing the bridge to european side follow the "besiktas" traffic sign,
• the road will take you down to the seaside, turn right and head to "kabatas" direction
• keep on the right side and the road will take you to the karakoy direction,
• cross the galata bridge from karakoy to eminonu,
• from eminonu traffic lights, turn right to "cagaloglu" direction.
• turn right from the end of the road, keep going untill traffic lights,
• cross from the lights and turn left from the 3rd exit.
• then turn left again, you'll see hotel arcadia blue on the left handside  
• turn right from the end of the road, keep going untill traffic lights,
• cross from the lights and turn left from the 3rd exit.
